What we handle โ full list
Anything in this list is fair game. Don't see what you've got? Just call and ask.
Standard 4โ6 person tubs
Acrylic shell with wood cabinet โ the typical residential build. We cut and remove in pieces.
Larger 7โ8+ person spas
Including dual-zone spas. Plan for a longer dismantle window.
Swim spas
Yes โ we've done them. Call to describe access; these need a different crew.
Inflatable Coleman/Intex
Easy day โ drain, fold, haul.
Wooden cedar hot tubs
Old-school redwood and cedar tubs. We disassemble respecting the construction.
Spa covers, lifters, and steps
Always taken at the same time. The cover is usually the worst part.
How we get a hot tub out of a backyard
There are two ways: in one piece or in pieces. Single-piece removal needs a clear path the full size of the tub from the back yard to the truck โ gate, walkway, no overhanging trees. Most installations don't have that, so we dismantle on-site. We cut the shell, separate the cabinet, and load it in manageable chunks. Total time is usually 2โ4 hours.
What you do first
Drain it. A garden hose, the spa's built-in drain, or a submersible pump โ whatever's easiest. Drained tubs go fast; full tubs lose us a couple hours. Also: cut the power at the breaker (we'll verify before we touch anything) and we'll handle the disconnect at the panel or junction box.
Built-in vs. portable
Plug-in 110V tubs we can pull and load same-day. Hardwired 220V tubs need to be disconnected at the panel; that's a one-line scope add but worth flagging during booking. In-ground or built-in spas (poured concrete, decking around them) need an extra day and a different toolkit โ call us with photos and we'll quote the job.
Hot Tub Removal FAQ
Still wondering about something? Call (850) 270-3164 โ we'll talk you through it.
- Does the hot tub have to be drained when you arrive?
- Yes, please. A full tub adds 2โ4 hours to the job and you'd be footing the difference if it were a paid removal. Free service depends on it being drained in advance.
- What if access is bad โ fence, narrow gate, retaining wall?
- Doable in almost every case but we may need to dismantle to smaller pieces or rent a small piece of equipment. Call us, send a few photos of the access path, and we'll be honest about whether it's still free or a low one-time labor fee for difficult access.
- Can you patch the concrete pad after?
- Removal only โ we leave the pad clean and intact but we don't pour patches or seal. Most folks just put a planter or pavers over it.
- Do you take pumps, heaters, and electrical components separately?
- Yes. If the tub itself is staying but you want the equipment gone (failed heater, dead pump), we'll take just the components.
