What happens to your furniture
Anything still usable gets staged at our warehouse on Jackson Bluff Road and resold. We take real photos, write honest descriptions, and price below market โ that's what keeps our resale floor moving. Furniture that's beyond resale gets donated to Goodwill, Habitat for Humanity ReStore, or a Leon County nonprofit. Only frames that are structurally broken hit a dumpster.
FSU and FAMU move-out specialists
Late April through mid-August is move-out season in Tallahassee, and apartment complexes around FSU, FAMU, and TCC fill dumpsters with perfectly good furniture every year. Don't be that person. Call us a day or two before you hand back the keys and we'll come empty the unit โ couch, mattress, dressers, the IKEA shelf you assembled wrong, all of it.
Heavy or awkward pieces are fine
Three-piece sectionals, sleeper sofas, queen mattresses, solid-oak dressers โ we plan for those. Tell us the access path (stairs, elevator, doorway widths) when you call and we'll bring the right crew and equipment. The most common surprise is a basement piece that won't fit back up the stairs in one piece; we carry tools to disassemble safely on-site.
Furniture Pickup FAQ
Still wondering about something? Call (850) 270-3164 โ we'll talk you through it.
- Does the furniture have to be in good shape?
- No. We take stained couches, broken-leg dressers, ripped mattresses, and torn upholstery. Anything resalable goes to our warehouse; anything not goes to recycling or scrap. We'd rather pick it up than have you wrestle it to the dump.
- Do you take pianos or pool tables?
- Spinets, uprights, and small pool tables โ usually yes, depending on access. Grand pianos are case-by-case; call and describe it. Either way, we'll be straight with you up front about whether we can take it.
- Will you disassemble for me?
- Yes. Beds, sectionals, IKEA flat-pack โ we carry the tools and we know how to take it apart without damaging walls or doorways. Saves you the hour and the back strain.
- What's the fastest you can get here?
- Same-day during slow weeks, 24โ48 hours most of the time. Late-April / early-August move-out windows are the busiest โ call as soon as you know your dates and we'll get you on the schedule.
- Do I need to move stuff outside?
- Nope. We come into the apartment, garage, or basement and bring it out ourselves. You point, we lift.
