  • Freezers & wine fridges

Chest freezers, upright freezers, wine coolers — same freon-safe disposal process as fridges.

Why pay a haul fee?

Most appliance-removal companies in Tallahassee charge $75–$250 to take a single fridge. We don't, because used appliances are our business — we resell what works at our Jackson Bluff warehouse and pull parts from what doesn't. Your old washer either ends up in someone's laundry room or its drum becomes scrap; either way it stays out of the landfill and you don't pay.

Working appliances vs. broken ones

We take both. Working units go on our resale floor with full disclosure of any defects. Broken units get parted out — compressors, motors, control boards, drums — or recycled as scrap metal. The only thing we can't easily take is a refrigerator or window AC where the freon line has been cut and the gas already vented; if you're not sure, just ask when you call.

How fast can we come?

Usually within 24–48 hours, often same-day in summer. We service all of Tallahassee — FSU, FAMU, Midtown, Killearn, Southwood, College Town, Frenchtown, Betton Hills, Lafayette Park — and most of Leon County. If you're outside the immediate area, call us anyway; we'll usually still come.

Appliance Removal FAQ

Still wondering about something? Call (850) 270-3164 — we'll talk you through it.

Do you really take broken appliances for free?
Yes. We don't charge for pickup. Broken appliances get parted out for components (compressors, motors, control boards) or recycled as scrap metal. We make our money on what we resell — your broken washer pays for itself in resale margin elsewhere.
What about freon-containing appliances?
We handle refrigerators, freezers, and window AC units with sealed refrigerant lines all the time — that's the EPA-compliant path. What we can't take is a unit where the line has already been cut and the freon vented (illegal under federal law). If you're not sure whether yours qualifies, just call and describe it.
Will you disconnect the appliance from the wall?
Yes for plug-in units (washers, dryers, microwaves, fridges). For hardwired or gas-line connections (some dryers, ovens, dishwashers) we ask that you have the shutoff valve or breaker accessible — we'll handle the actual disconnect, but a closed shutoff makes it safer and faster.
How heavy is too heavy?
Nothing's too heavy if we can get to it. A full-size French-door fridge from a third-floor walk-up is doable with two crew. Just tell us the floor and the access path (stairs, elevator, narrow doorway) when you call so we send the right size truck.
Do I need to be home for the pickup?
Not necessarily. Curbside, garage, or porch pickups can happen without you there if we have a clear description and access. For inside-the-house pickups we ask someone 18+ be present.
